Alexis moved swiftly and silently through the forest, pausing only for brief instants to catch her breath. She jumped deftly from one tree branch to the next, moving at a rate faster than the human eye would be able to comprehend. The only sign of her coming were tiny grooves in the wood from her sharp claws, leaping tiny distances at a tremendous rate. After some time, wearing down, she stopped, her mind peacefully numb as she moved, but now becoming more awake; she realized that she was, in fact, alone. The weight of this settled on her shoulders, but she shrugged it off for the time being, still focused entirely. Drinking gratefully from a stream, she sat in silence, resting for however long her journey would take her, however long it took.

A bright flash and the feeling of the earth falling away was the last thing Aster remembered before he blacked out.
He groaned as he flicked on golden eye open. Instantly two things were deathly apperant to him. First the Earth had changed, alot. Secondly theat there was someone very close, someone who was on a mission or it felt like it.
He closed his eyes and lay still for a moment listening to life around him. The soft songs of birds could be heard from every direction and the ever constant song of a nearby stream echoed off the trees.
Slowly and with a massive amount of effort Aster got to his feet. His body was still weak from using his powers on the human and his legs shook under his wieght. He shook his head from side to side sending his mane flying in a stream of silken sunlight. He shook his entiry body sending bits of dust flying through the air, exposing beams of light where they managed to filter through the canopy overhead.
He took slow, methodical steps at first moving around in a large circle to test his legs for injury. After the task of not falling flat on his face he headed towards the stream that he could hear. He stepped through a wall of brush to find that someone was drinking from the crystal clear waters already. He paused and watched the figure for a moment , wondering if it was something he should be trying to avoid.

(Sorry for the double post everyone but Mike couldn't post this so he asked me too)
There was quiet in the forest other than ambient noises as Alexis drank from the clean stream. Breathing deeply, she calmed her heart, resting in the shade of the tall trees. She sighed, feeling both saddened that she was separated from Echo, and homesick, already.
Kneeling, she began filling her canteen, when a thunderous crash filled the forest. Startled, she dropped her canteen, and stood quickly. After a few moments of shuffling noises, slow, but heavy, footsteps grew nearer. Alexis crouched on one knee, listening. It was big, and on four legs, whatever it was. And then the figure came into view
Alexis gasped faintly at the creatures might. It was a horse, not entirely unlike she had seen used by human soldiers too fat to carry their own legs, but much larger, and with a unusual color. She immediately felt nervous under its gaze, and she went into a low crouch, ready to spring if the creature made any hostile movement. After a moments deliberation, she decided to talk, "Who are you? What do you want?"

Aster looked dow at the fihgure now crouched before by the streams end. He tried to answer her question but his voice was hoarce and nothing understandable came forth.
Slowly and cautiously he took a step forward lowering his muzzle to the cool water, drinking deeply feeling He watched the figure through one of his golden eyes as he continued to drink. His empathy picking up on fear or perhaps something eles, he couldn't be sure but he wasn't concerned about her being an enemy to him.
Slowly his lifted his head from the stream and wathced the young woman for a moment "I wanted nothing but a drink, as for who I am.." he paused for a moment "I am Aster" he said softly his eyes showing a flicker of pain before resuming thier natural state.

Alexis expanded her consciousness to attempt and read his thoughts, but was carelessly knocked aside by a massive presence. Withdrawling her mind, she stood, speaking softly, "I am Alexis." Although she ws nervous of the creature, she was not truly afraid, and even slightly curious. After a brief moment of silence, Alexis spoke again, "What brings you here?" Hoping for at least a small conversation to break the silence.

Aster felt a curious expansion towards his mind and felt it retract upon brushing against his mental barriers. He watched her more intruiged. "It is nice to meet you Alexis, As for my porpose here, that i do not know" he said in a soft undertone that held a few emeotions, sorrow, confusion among others.
He kneeled down attempting to make himself seem less threatening to her. He listened to the world around them and felt the emotions of the song birds and such that seemed to live life as if nothing was new. He found solace in that fact that life ocntinued on no matter what.

Alexis cocked her head at this, "How can you not know why you are somewhere? Are you just wandering?" She said, her tail swishing slowly. After a moment she sighed, "I have a reason to be in this forest......a very important one," She said with a certain sense of longing expressed in her tone.

"I.. was sent here by something larger than myself, the will of God perhaps." Aster said softly listening to her when she said something about a reason for being here. Her voice told him more than he'd of liked. "May I ask what you are so despratley searching for?" he asked softly lowering his had to be at the same level with hers; one golden eye looking directly at her.

Alexis was quiet before speaking, "My beloved........he went missing. I have to find him," She said, almost dreamlike, staring back at him. She was unwilling to go into details with a complete stranger, and by her definition, he was.

"I see" he said softly staring at her for a long moment before he moved again, shifting his wieght to find a comfortable position. "I wish you luck on finding your mate" he added softly, and sincerly.
He stood up towering over her once again, "I do have one question of you young one, Do you know the lay of the land here?" he asked looking down at her, as his tail flicked behind him.

Alexis was quiet at his first comment, and sighed after hearing the second. "I'm sorry, I have never been this far into the woods before. I would help if I could, but I am afraid I cannot," she said, stretching. Silent for a moment, cuirosity won over, "If you are not used to the lay of the land, then why are you here?" She said in a polite tone.

Aster looked at her for a moment "I do not know but it must be for some greater reason." He said softly watching her, hoping that he wasn't being cryptic; it did make sense to him after all.
His tail flicked in an anxious movement, he had never had enough time to have an acutall conversation with someone for ages and the silence was begining to drive him insane.
