Board Description
Virdis Mons
Their name meaning "Green Mountains" in Latin, the 4-5,000-foot high Virdis Mons really live up to their title - they're faces are mostly covered in thick jungle, rounding their sharp edges and causing them to look like irregular, deep green emeralds, though the greenery thins some on the northern and western ends, due to less rain-carrying winds. Many also have rocky crags jutting from their crests, some vertical, some sloping, some with good footing, some with bad, all of them giving stunning views of the surrounding countryside for miles and miles around. Cracked with unpredictable canyons and valleys, crisscrossed with rivers and streams beneath the canopies, and tunneled with various kinds of caves, caverns and underground catacombs through at least half of the range, the Virdis Mons are one of the most prominent landmarks of Palus. They're located towards the northeast of the state, and the Pluvia Cadet rainforest spreads out in a green blanket from their southern roots.
