City of Aurum Located on top of a plateau with a decent view of the entire nation, the City of Aurum is the state capital. It is easily the most populated city in the state, and probably holds nearly half of Montis' population. The city has a strong golden taint, and it is common knowledge that the builders of the city actually did use some real gold to make it that way. This city is where the Air Force is trained and where the airplanes are stored. It's no problem that the city is far from the Kingdom of Men's border with the Midland: considering how fast and agile military jets are in this day and age, they'd be there within ten minutes. Security around Aurum's Tri-Towers is kept pretty tight, though with its eyes to the skies. |

Hedion Town Hedion Town is quite a bit smaller then Aurum. It is a huge place for buying things, and there are a lot of things to buy. Men will buy basically everything here. It is located near the City of Aurum, which makes it conveinient. Though there are not many houses, there is a very pretty neighborhood near the egde. |

Calx Mountains The Calx Mountains are the tallest in the Kingdom of Men, and some of the tallest of the world. Because the fault line they're on is still moving, and they're still being weathered, they don't really change in height much. It's very dry up here, and many of the rocks are covered in sand or dust. Alpine forest dot the landscape here and there, and caves and overhangs are found occasionally. However, this region is victim to occasionally devastating earthquakes, being on a fault line. |

Alpine Meadows The mountains of Montis aren't simply hard, barren stone and cold snow. Ah, no. Because during the warmer spring and summer months, the mountain slopes are blanketed with meadows of all shapes and sizes. The mountainsides become vibrant with the colors of wildflowers, herbs, and grasses of all kinds. These beautiful meadows are home to many kinds of creatures, from the Montisans' herds to the wild animals of the great mountain heights. Though they appear peaceful and safe, you'd do well to be somewhat wary when you enter these high havens - mountain lions, while generally shy of humans and apt to leave them be, might well have a taste for your animal companions, and they're not as picky after a lean winter, either. Best keep a sling or spear handy, and keep your little - or not so little - friends close at hand. |

Más alto Moutain The Más alto Moutain is the tallest moutain in the state of Montis. Más Alto is spanish for tallest. It only towers slightly over the other mountains. It is not like a mountain compared to a molehill, but someone could tell that it is the tallest. It is covered with snow on the top almost always, accept in the summer. |

Scars of Old Not only do the mountains of Montis have cities, caves, and meadows, but numerous canyons as well. They come in all shapes, sizes and varieties - overhangs, wrinkle-like folds, deep scars, shallow cracks, wide as the old Earthen Mississippi and narrow as a creak, steep and gentle slopes, smooth and craggy walls, round craters and long furrows, and anything and everything between and beyond. Some are bare rock; Most are as yet being carved by rivers and streams; Many flourish with high-altitude plants and animals, such as evergreens, shrubbery, mountain sheep and goats, cougars, and even some deer, wolves, and elk, and all manner of others. There are even a number of fairly large valleys, where the Montisan inhabitants have set down roots. Take careful note of your direction when travailing these mountainous scars, however - there's plenty of hidden magnetic rocks to confuse compasses, the sun rises and sets later and earlier in the deeper canyons, and the wind howls eerily on its journey out, making it easy to get lost. |
